I met juju last year when I was living in Biarritz for the Summer and she’s now one of my closest friends over here. I met @paulaortegaaa around 4 years ago on a boat trip in the Mentawai Islands. We hit it off and the next year I went and stayed with her in San Sebastián. On that trip she told me she was starting a women’s surf magazine with @marinamantolan
Years later, here we are, celebrating the launch of their third issue, with the cover I shot of juju, in her hometown of Biarritz, which is also my new home ✨🤍
As well as these images, I also interviewed juju and wrote the ‘at home’ article about her life growing up in Biarritz as a surfer, which you can read about in the mag. I also have an article about the joy of attending the @queenclassicsurfestival inside 🤍
