Kay and Anthony are childhood best friends who grew apart when Anthony came out more publicly while Kay has remained in the closet through high school. Kay is book-smart, well-liked, and protective of his secrets. 🌑 ABOUT THE SHOW 🌑 Kay - a middle-class closet-case who lives with his mother and his mother’s girlfriend - and Anthony (Romar Dungo @romar.dungo ) - a first-generation Filipino-Canadian out-and-proud to everyone except his much more conservative family - have a lot in common. As two of the only gay kids in their town, their paths cross over years of birthday parties, summer nights, casual encounters - but some things only stay on the DL for so long. Boy Trouble is a cutting, physical, and playful interrogation of toxic masculinity and casual sex in the Grindr age.
