Some DJing core memories from 2025, so immensely grateful for all of them🫀 I hit a lot of music milestones this year, from traveling for shows, to playing for venues and parties that I’ve long admired, to curating people’s most intimate celebrations. @baabaaco and I also started our residency at @beverlysnyc and created our own pocket of joy, fundraising for causes close to our hearts with all proceeds from our events. Thank you for tuning in and dancing! 2025 has been a hell of a year, but 2026 is gonna be even better 💫 btw I know I’m stonefaced in some of these but I promise I’m having the time of my life

It was such an honor to hold @baabaaco ’s debut at @dromnyc earlier this month. After many looooong days and sleepless nights, I’m so grateful to look back on the journey and know that we did it! 🐑3️⃣: AMLA.DHAS (she/they) is an open format DJ born in sunny SoCal and based in NYC. Her DJ name originates from the Hindi word for the Indian gooseberry, “amla”, both a powerful medicinal ingredient and a play on her last name. She draws her inspiration from her worlds— the melodic and relaxed energy of the West coast, the pulsating rhythms of the city, and the intricate riffs of India. Their biggest influence is from growing up listening to their dad’s taste in alternative rock from Coldplay, evergreen pop like ABBA and Dido, and solemn ghazals via Jagjit Singh. They are also a classically trained musician, and have played the violin for most of their life. She continues to keep in touch with her classical side as a member of an orchestra and an independently-run quartet. AMLA.DHAS most enjoys playing moody house music, Indo-western fusions, hyperactive electronic music, and bops from pop and rap princesses. Outside of music, her passion lies in public health and health equity. They also enjoy writing, embroidery, boxing, baking, and collaging. 💿 Fall in Love x Simon Says
