mp3 is a display typeface based on a 4x6 grid. It’s a variable typeface consisting of three versions: regular, regular-gap and extended. The typeface’s variability is revealed through a horizontal extension. The characteristics of each letter remain the same—only the grid is expanded sideways. Both the regular and extended versions appear ornamental due to the lack of letter spacing. The regular-gap version, with a spacing of 1 unit between characters, allows for improved legibility in text. Die 204 Type-Gazette ist eine halbjährlich erscheinende Publikation der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, die von Studierenden entworfene Schriften aus der Professur Typografie und Schriftgestaltung präsentiert. Benannt wurde sie nach dem Typografie-Arbeitsraum 204. Die 5. Ausgabe bearbeitet auf Grundlage des Theatertextes „Und dann“ von Wolfram Höll, Themen des Verlusts und Erinnerungskultur. Das verwendete Material setzt die Schriften in gegenseitigen Bezug zueinander und fordert den Lesenden heraus, Texte neu zu erfahren.
