We started Amen To That with one goal: resurrecting the proper, unified energy of the early 90s rave scene. It’s about building a space where the music, and the people who love it, always come before the ego.
Sheffield’s own Tommy Badman reached out wanting to jump on the decks purely for the love of the culture. We had a chat, and the answer was obvious: make room.
Tommy isn’t just some guy off the street; he’s a proper devotee of the craft. With roots stretching back to the late-nineties Techno nights at Voodoo and Nation, he’s spent years earning his stripes at raves across the UK, including the legendary Bangface Weekender.
After taking his passion seriously with a degree in Audio Production at SAE Institute Liverpool, he dedicated himself to the art of the Amen break - he's a true believer. Now, he's a producer, lathe-cut vinyl enthusiast, and label owner of Sheffield's own Amen Audio.
When a qualified local badman offers to share his energy with the dancefloor, you don't say no. You make space on the timetable.
Tommy will be taking over for a heavy 45-minute set right after Smiley Maxx, before DJ Scoby jumps back on to keep the room bubbling until 2:30 AM.
This is shaping up to be an unbelievable family affair. We are THREE DAYS away from launch at Hagglers Corner, and tickets are only moving in one direction.
