My word for 2026: PURPOSE
Every year I choose a word to guide me — something that directs my energy, my decisions, and the way I want to move through the world. This year, purpose chose me.
Purpose means aligning my time and heart with what matters most: meaningful work, uplifting stories, community impact, and — always — my family. They’re my why, my anchor, and my reminder that life feels fullest when it’s intentional.
It’s about choosing projects that inspire impact, nurturing relationships that spark something bigger, and making space for joy, rest, and connection.
A year shaped by values, not urgency.
By intention, not obligation.
By what fills, not what drains.
Purpose in work.
Purpose in service.
Purpose in creativity.
Purpose in family. (We’re going to be GOLDEN! 💫)

Honored to attend the sold-out Hear the Future: STLPR’s Annual Celebration with @stlpublicradio — a night filled with storytelling, connection, and a shared belief in the power of informed community.
It was my first time at this incredible event, and it did not disappoint. From the energy in the room to the voices shaping what’s next, it felt like a true reflection of St. Louis at its best.
