Jurassic World: Rebirth
I had the great opportunity to work on the latest Jurassic World film as a machine operator. I primarily operated laser cutting machines and the 7-axis KUKA robots. However, I also had the opportunity to help on the workshop floor, preparing set decoration pieces for installation onto the boat.
As a team, we built two variations of the boat: one was a modified version of a real boat used to film long-distance sequences out at sea, and the other was designed for use on a gimbal to capture fast-paced action sequences.

Napoleon
One of the first films I had the pleasure of working on when I started at BGI Supplies was Napoleon.
My task was to machine the cannon, which were then moulded and cast multiple times to create the pieces seen throughout the film.
Later on, I also had the chance to work in the paint department, helping weather and paint them to achieve their final onscreen look.
It was a great early experience in the industry and amazing to see something I helped create make it to the big screen.

Still kinda trying to process that my Model Making Course finished last Friday. It's been such a great year having learnt so much in such a short period. I can not recommend the course and school enough if you want a career in the Film and TV industry.
Whilst we are at it... I'm also starting my new Job in the Industry tomorrow! I'm so excited and definitely owe it to my time at NFTS.

Been working on my puppet for my course at NFTS, here's the finished head!
Inspired by the Ardman style it's been an amazing experience learning professional stop motion puppets are made.
The head is made in a way which allows eye and mouth movement so it can be animated too a film standard.

My latest contribution to the grad films at NFTS is this shell. It is one of many parts which make a large stop motion creature. I sculpted, moulded and casted it in fibreglass resin and then painted it with my airbrush using these awesome new paints!
Working on this has been a real treat as it involves some of my favourite colours.
