Iām super excited to see the release of āMasters of the Airā after working on it back in March 2021 and later on in the year for 4 months. It was an amazing opportunity to spend two weeks working on the B17 bomber planes at @bgisuppliesltd āļø Iām looking forward to watching the rest of the series, and hopefully can spot some props I worked on šØ
Hereās a few throwback pictures of the Model Making team creating these head masks for the grad animation @curiosa_animation . We were challenged to recreate the 1.6 scale puppet heads in a larger scale for a pixilation animation sequence.
This was such a fun experience and allowed us to explore and try new materials. We ended up casting the heads in Worbla from CNC machined moulds.
I also created animatable eyes out of Worbla and magnets and assembled Jamesā hair out of wool. šš»āāļø
Iāve had a crazy first week working in the puppet department for the Lion King UK tour š¦I sadly canāt share any pictures of the incredible puppets so hereās a few of the lush venue in Cardiff
A few months ago I was lucky enough to help create this underwater themed window display for Louis Vuitton at Asylum Models & Effects. The seaweed structures were covered in colourful real leather š
I had the pleasure of being co-Lead Model Maker (with @emilycbrook ) for āZumanā. We were lucky enough to make the hero puppet Steve, who was created out of wax. The wax definitely had its challenges but Steveās character and aesthetic wouldnāt be the same without it. Here are some shots of the lovely fella and some wip shots. Zuman was directed by the very talented @honor_price āØ
Very excited to have played a small part in this wonderful BAFTA winning film @do_not_feed_the_pigeons_ . I laser cut the pigeons for the finale moment in the film š¦ Huge congrats to @niclassantonin and the rest of the team !
Itās been a while since Iāve posted anything here and since I canāt share what Iām working on at the moment I thought I would post this video of the VFX breakdown of our lighthouse model āļø ššØ
Last year on the @nftsmodelmaking course we were lucky enough to get the chance to work on this model prison set for Sky TVās āCode: 404ā. I had a fab time working on the fencing and surrounding landscape. Check out the show on Sky now!
Still canāt believe my time at the NFTS has come to an end! Had the most amazing year thanks to @jlee.rockyroad , @nftsmodelmaking and the fab team. Hereās to working on an exciting new TV project...š£
