When âwellnessâ becomes harmful, the intention to care for yourself can start to feel like pressure instead of support. True health isnât perfection or restrictionâit includes flexibility, nourishment, rest, and mental well-being.
If your relationship with food or wellness feels overwhelming, you are not alone. Support is here.

Reminder for Mental Health Action Day - support doesnât always start with big stepsâsometimes, it begins with something small.
Reaching out to someone you trust, nourishing your body, setting boundaries, or simply taking a break from content that doesnât feel goodâthese actions matter. They can help create space for healing, self-compassion, and connection.
Thereâs no one ârightâ way to care for your mental health or support recovery. What matters is finding what feels supportive for you, one step at a time.
You donât have to do this aloneâsupport is within reach.

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, weâre proud to partner with @twloha and @rainn to explore the science behind trauma and eating disorders â and why these experiences are often deeply connected.
Trauma doesnât just live in memory; it can shape how the brain and body respond to stress, safety, and self-regulation. For many, eating disorder behaviors can emerge as a way to cope with overwhelming emotional or physical experiences.
By learning the science behind trauma and eating disorders, we open the door to more supportive, informed conversations around healing and recovery.
Remember, you are never alone:

In honor of PFD & ARFID Awareness Month, @alliancefored and @feedingmatters are proud to partner and highlight these early feeding challenges.
Pediatric Feeding Disorder (PFD) and Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) are more than âpicky eatingââthey can affect nutrition, growth, emotional well-being, and a childâs long-term relationship with food. Early intervention mattersâand support can make a meaningful difference in both physical and emotional health. If youâre concerned, youâre not alone.

#TakeItPersonally
Today, we're partnering with @theantidietplan , to highlight an important topic: how AI bodies, editing tools, and social media are reshaping self-perception. In a world of filters, editing tools, and AI, the way we see ourselves can shiftâoften without us even realizing it. Constant exposure to curated and altered images can quietly reshape what we think is ânormal,â making it easier to fall into comparison, self-criticism, and the feeling that weâre not enough.
Over time, this can take a real toll on body image, self-worth, and mental health.
If youâve noticed a shift in how you see yourself after scrolling, editing, or being on camera, youâre not alone. These experiences are real, valid, and worth paying attention to.

STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Meet Laurie đ
Laurie serves as the Outreach & Communications Manager at The Alliance, where she truly wears many hatsâfrom social media and marketing to trainings, fundraising events, and behind-the-scenes operations. No two days look the same, and she thrives in the variety and purpose her role brings. Her connection to The Alliance is deeply personal. After first being introduced to the organization in high school through her own recovery journey with an eating disorder, Laurie began attending support groups and has been involved in various capacities for over a decade.
What makes her work most meaningful is the full-circle experience of now giving back to the same organization that once supported her. Weâre so grateful for the heart and dedication Laurie brings to The Alliance community every day đ
This Celiac Disease Awareness Month, weâre recognizing the complexity of navigating medically necessary dietary restrictions. For those with celiac disease, avoiding gluten is essential for physical healthâbut the structure and vigilance required can sometimes become overwhelming or extend beyond whatâs medically necessary.
You deserve support that considers both your physical and mental well-being.
You donât have to navigate this alone. đ

Eating disorders donât look one specific wayâand you donât have to be âsick enoughâ to deserve support. If your relationship with food, movement, or your body feels overwhelming, confusing, or distressing, that matters.
If you or someone you love is struggling, support is here.

In collaboration with @LeviYungRuivivar and @graciegold95 , weâre creating space for a conversation that doesnât happen often enough. Behind the strength, discipline, and drive we see in athletes, there can also be quiet, constant pressure.
In many sports, expectations around body size, shape, or weight are normalizedâsometimes even tied to performance. Over time, that can blur the line between training for the sport and controlling the bodyâimpacting both physical and mental health.
No athlete should have to navigate that alone.
If you or someone you know is struggling, help is here.

This AAPI Heritage Month, weâre bringing attention to a conversation that is too often overlooked. Eating disorders affect people of every backgroundâbut AAPI individuals are among the least likely to be screened, diagnosed, or connected to care. Cultural expectations, stigma, and limited access to culturally competent resources can make it even harder to recognize the signs or reach out for support.
Everyone deserves to be seen, supported, and met with care that understands their lived experience. If you or someone you love is struggling, you are not aloneâhelp is here.
