Healing doesnât happen all at once.
Some days, growth looks like resting. Other days, it looks like setting a boundary, asking for support, or simply making it through the day.
No step forward is too small. đ
#MentalHealthMonth #MentalHealthAwareness
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, weâre proud to partner with @twloha and @rainn to explore the science behind trauma and eating disorders â and why these experiences are often deeply connected.
Trauma doesnât just live in memory; it can shape how the brain and body respond to stress, safety, and self-regulation. For many, eating disorder behaviors can emerge as a way to cope with overwhelming emotional or physical experiences.
By learning the science behind trauma and eating disorders, we open the door to more supportive, informed conversations around healing and recovery.

Looking back at our time with @RAINN for their 4th Annual Congressional Day of Action in Washington, D.C. đâ
â
Weâre so grateful to have stood alongside courageous survivors who shared their stories while advocating for critical legislation, including the DEFIANCE Act, GUARD Act, and STOP CSAM Act.â
â
From meeting with lawmakers to amplifying voices that deserve to be heard, it was a powerful day centered around advocacy, awareness, and real change.
Itâs National Nurse Appreciation Week! đđ
This week, weâre recognizing the nurses who provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to survivors every day, including Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANEs).
In collaboration with @offtheclocknurse , weâre breaking down what a SANE is, the critical role they play after sexual violence, and why survivor-centered medical care matters.
SANEs are specially trained nurses who help survivors receive medical attention, emotional support, and forensic care in a safe and empowering environment. Their work can make a meaningful difference during one of the most difficult moments in a survivorâs life.
To all the nurses supporting survivors with empathy, expertise, and care, thank you. đ

More good days, together. đ
A âgood dayâ for a survivor doesnât have to be perfect. It could be a friend checking in, a loved one believing them, or a moment of calm in a difficult season.
Showing up, speaking out, and stepping in can help create these moments. Support doesnât end after one conversation. Small acts make a big difference.
This Mental Health Month, weâre partnering with Mental Health America to highlight how allies and communities can help survivors have more good days, together.

SAAPM may be coming to a close, but the care we show each other continues every day. đ
Small acts of care can go a long wayâchecking in on a friend, listening without judgment, sharing resources, or speaking up when something doesnât feel right.
Together, those everyday actions help build a safer, more supportive world for everyone. Keep showing up.

We are so honored to have joined @RAINN for their 4th Annual Congressional Day of Action in Washington, D.C. đâ
â
As the nationâs largest anti-sexual violence organization and the force behind the National Sexual Assault Hotline, RAINN continues to lead this work with impact and intention.â
â
We began the day at the Capitol for a briefing before breaking into smaller groups to meet with senators and House representatives, including @marshablackburn and @sencapito . Survivors courageously shared their stories while advocating for critical legislation, including the DEFIANCE Act, GUARD Act, and STOP CSAM Act.â
â
We finished off with a press conference by Senators @joshhawleymo and @senatordurbin , continuing the conversation around accountability and protection.â
â
Weâre so grateful to be part of such an important day, and even more grateful to the survivors who used their voices to create change. đ
đIt's #DenimDay, and we're spreading awareness around sexual violence, supporting survivors, and educating ourselves and others.
The day was created by @peaceovrviolnce in response to the overturning of a 1998 rape conviction by the Italian Supreme Court. The court said that the jeans were so tight that the victim must have aided the perpetrator to remove them, and therefore the act was "consensual." Today we wear denim to take a stand against victim blaming.
đ¸ Take a photo wearing denim and tag us to join our community this #DenimDay.

đ This Wednesday is #DenimDay â a powerful reminder that what someone wears is never an excuse for sexual violence.
Join RAINN and millions across the country by wearing denim to stand in solidarity with survivors and raise awareness about harmful victim-blaming myths. đ
đŁ Spread the word, tag a friend, and get your denim ready. Letâs turn awareness into action.
