Jahresgaben 2024 von: @alisatsybinastudio Alisa Tsybina, @_beliazannageetha Belia Zanna Geetha Brückner, @clara.lena.langenbach Clara Lena Langenbach, @split___milk Clara Palmberger-Süße, @louisa_frauenheim Louisa Frauenheim, @____nillle3000 Merlin Reichart, @s_gatzkan Sophia Gatzkan. A new chapter for Studio Peragine has begun! In addition to a series of roaming activities and teaching opportunities in the field of academic research, Studio Peragine is currently dedicated to working on its archive—gathering and reviewing all the documentation created. Franca Johanna Peragine (@franca.prg ), who has previously volunteered for Studio Peragine, has kindly offered to support and assist in this process. Together, we hope to develop a format that does justice to the artists’ work—ensuring it is preserved and seen in the future. Between 2020 and 2024, Studio Peragine evolved from an artist studio into an art space, hosting various exhibitions, seminars, and other events in HafenCity, Hamburg. As of 2025, the collection of Sammlung Gebr. Kristen has taken over the loft in HafenCity Hamburg, following a fruitful collaboration that began the year before. I feel incredibly honored and humbled by all the wonderful collaborations and learning opportunities I’ve had through the experience of running an art space. It has truly been a blessing—one that has given me so much to reflect on and be grateful for. I want to thank all the human beings who have been part of this journey—there are too many to name here (you know who you are!) ❤️ Until further notice, Studio Peragine will be roaming the streets of various cities as well as the World Wide Web via Signal groups and mailing lists. In the meantime: Keep your eyes and hearts open. 🤍🤍🤍

I just finished my catalogue Malleable Bodies Rigid Forms I did with @kuenstler.innenhaus_lauenburg . I am so happy for the opportunity to combine my works and thoughts of the last to years with a wonderful text by @katrinkrumm and an interview with @mayatekeli . Thank you to all the special people and venues that made this possible! There will be an official release in the beginning of November in Lauenburg with a conversation of all the artist in residency.

Today, ‘Where the Dough Folds Inwards’ a duo show with artist and my friend Alisa Tsybina(@alisatsybinastudio ) at Sender(@sender_126 ) quietly turned its final page. To everyone who came to the Finissage, shared food with us, and filled this moment with conversation, my heartfelt thanks. Looking back, I realize only now that this was the last chance to show my most recent paintings in Germany before returning to Korea. Marking this ending as a threshold, I will pause for a moment, catch my breath, and step into a new chapter of life. When the stage lights fade, what remains, in the end, is people. Perhaps that is why this exhibition feels especially meaningful to me. To have spent this time with those who love my works and truly understand me as a person has been my greatest happiness. Last but not least, my deepest thanks to Jenni(@jennischurr ) for bring this gathering and making it possible.🫶🏼 - I will keep posting my paintings, so please keep following along!

Alisa Tsybina & Nanhee Kim “Where the Dough Folds Inwards” is an exhibition grounded in the emotional connection built between Alisa Tsybina and Nanhee Kim. One of their earliest moments of connection took place at the common studio space on the table, sharing and tasting each other’s homemade dishes. This act went beyond simple taste it unfolded into an experience layered with memory, emotion, and personal history. The exhibition title, “Where the Dough Folds Inwards”, serves as a quiet metaphor for this process. Just as dough folds into itself layer by layer, holding air, tension, and time the artists’ paintings carry inner histories shaped by both personal and collective experiences. While the works are not explicitly about food, they reflect how small, intimate gestures like sharing a meal can spark deeper conversations around identity and belonging between two artists from different national backgrounds. Each painting holds emotional traces and layers of memory, expressed through the artists’ distinct visual languages. Through these works, viewers are invited to move between shared sensations and divided memories, witnessing the ways in which personal and national narratives become intertwined. - During the finissage, a communal table will offer small servings of foods once shared in the studio, such as dried seaweed, anchovies, light snacks, and drinks representing each artist’s cultural background. This gesture does not compete with the artworks but rather echoes the quiet moment of exchange that sparked the dialogue at the heart of the exhibition. You are warmly invited to bring along a small food that holds meaning for you something you love, something from your own memory. Place it on the table as a way of folding your story into ours, one taste at a time. Eröffung Do, 7. August 19:00 Uhr Öffungszeiten 8.-10 August 15-19:00 Uhr Finissage dinner So, 10. August 17:00 Uhr SENDER, Billhorner Deich 126, Rothenburgsort
