✨Piper Grogan ✨8/15/18-4/19/26
Our piper girl peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge this morning at home, wrapped in love, her favorite toys, and flowers 🌈. After a 9 month battle with chronic kidney disease, Piper started to decline quickly this Friday. She fought like hell, and we’re forever grateful for these extra months with her. This weekend was so hard, but today was absolutely beautiful. Everything lined up perfectly. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, She watched the sunrise, sat in the yard, ate a steak breakfast, (after not wanting to eat at all) and passed peacefully in our arms. The doctor even drove away with her in a white Subaru, listening to Taylor Swift. It was the hardest thing we’ve ever done and we are absolutely shattered, but she is finally at peace. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us over the last few months, showered our girl with love, donated to her go fund me, and supported us. We have so much more to say, and so many more incredible memories to share. We will love you until the end of time, our sweet puppy girl. ❤️🌈

Every five years at Mervin, employees are given the opportunity to create a custom snowboard of their choice. I had been waiting til my custom day would come and when it finally did, I went blank. Ive switched up the design a few times, but nothing felt right. As I approach year 7 with Mervin, I was finally able to come up with something that was meaningful and captured my favorite memories from my time here in WA/OR. I’ve been so lucky to share some of the best ones with Piper and @chelstom .
Piper is my everything, my sidekick, my travel buddy, my best friend. There was no better choice than to dedicate this board to her and what we love to do the most together.
A huge thank you to @phliphansen for taking the time to bring this one of a kind idea to life. I gave him photos of piper to use and he brought my vision to life, and I’m incredibly grateful. The base graphic is a picture I took of her paw prints from one of our first times at the beach together. Also, big thank you to @tim_ef for dialing in the sizing and adding the final color touches. Puppy officially has her first custom pro model 😉
Piper is still with us today, but I know our time is limited. We spent the weekend at her favorite place, playing on the beach and snapping some of these photos. I’m so happy to have her with me still, and to have this as something I can always remember her by
Piper has been in the hospital since Wednesday and we need help! Our lively 6 year old pup suddenly came down with kidney failure and we are scrambling to get her healthy again. We were told on Saturday that she might not make it until Monday, and after switching hospitals, the doctors are now cautiously optimistic that she can beat this, we just need to give her kidneys time to heal. While we fortunately have insurance, bills are already over $9,000 after insurance. I know times are tough, but if you have $5 to spare we would be incredibly grateful. Please share!
