The destination of my favorite bike ride was extra good today.

Band of Horses was great on Sunday. Pretty cool to hear their first album in its entirety plus a bunch of other great songs.

So hyped for the next @warpuppyarmy show! @colourbarsband (they ROCK!) starting the evening, with our pdx hardcore pals @truuz_pdx playing middle slot, this show is going to rock. When I designed this poster, I was obsessing over concert T-shirt that I once had from #lollapalooza1992 (yes, I was at that show at Kitsap County Fairgrounds). Sometimes it’s fun to pull a vintage graphic and use it to make your own version. I grabbed the swirl from that shirt image, mimicked the type, and boom, here’s my poster. Professionally, I’m a production artist, but I do moonlight as a designer, and rock posters are my favorite thing to make. I love designing black and white only, so printing is cheap via b/w copies, and print on bright colored paper, old school style, and they pop. Made some handbills with some highlighter fun too. COME TO THIS SHOW, @slcsaloon IS CLOSING IN FEBRUARY! LETS BLOW IT UP! Thinking about making this one extra special and bringing our lasers out again. It’s been a while. Playing tonight in PDX!!!

Got to see my all-time favorite weirdos @pixiesofficial last night play #bossanova and #trompelemonde albums in their entirety. I’ve spent so much time in my life with all their early records, it was a pretty moving experience to hear all those songs. As a huge fan of “albums” in general, having the opportunity to hear them perform those songs in order is pretty incredible. I’m fortunate enough to be going again tonight to hear some stuff from their new album mixed with a “classic” Pixies set. super stoked!
