And here’s another project we worked on together with
@olyashustova — a visual identity developed for the UNESCO heritage site Žatec and the Landscape of Saaz Hops (
@zateckakrajina ).
This year, the organization decided to refresh its branding and invited students from
@fud_ujep to take part in a design competition.
We aimed to capture the mood and visual atmosphere of Žatec and its surrounding hop-growing landscape through a concept that blends the natural and architectural heritage of the region. The logotype brings together three essential elements—hops, fields, and the castle—symbolizing the area’s rich tradition, culture, and visual identity.
The color palette was designed to reflect this harmony: light green represents hops and the local landscape, dark green stands for depth, history, and connection to the land, while warm orange-red, inspired by the rooftops of Žatec, brings a touch of warmth and authenticity.
Although our design was not selected for implementation, it was awarded 2nd place in the competition and gave us valuable experience in collaborative work and branding development.
