“We All Are In The Same Boat” (2024)
🧸💖⛵️🪼🪴🏀🎒🩺💐🎣
Excited to share my latest mural for the
@artsbuildcommunity festival at the Boys & Girls Club of Manchester, NH!
This is my largest mural to date and a true community co-creation. I held two workshops with the
@bgcofmanchester kids — one via Zoom and one in person—asking them, “If you had to go on a journey with your friends, what would you bring?”
Their imaginative drawings provided 90% of the mural’s elements. The remaining 10% came throughout the mural execution, with intentional or unintentional inputs from amazing local artists, volunteers, and Boys & Girls Club staff.
Every detail in this mural, from characters to objects, reflects the community’s diversity. The message? Despite our differences, WE ARE ALL IN THE SAME BOAT. Respect and unity make this journey called life better for everyone.
Stay tuned for more details about the mural and the process in the next few days.
Thanks to
@jameschaseartist for putting all this together and for having me back! Also thanks to all the sponsors,
@bgcofmanchester staff, the fellow artists who created other beautiful murals for the community, the documentarians, for capturing all the progress and the best moments over those days, and a HUGE thanks to all the volunteers for the hard work you all poured into this project. A special shoutout to the super talented
@sam.grace11 for the assistance and high energy throughout the execution of this mural.
