A foot turned into light: ironic, sculptural, unapologetically provocative. Because even the most grounded body part deserves a spotlight.
In early 2025 the project was proposed to Isola Design for Milano Design Week. We chose to exhibit Hyperbutt instead.
Still hanging in my studio. Some objects are simply ahead of their time.
Amelia lamp celebrates the grace and strength of rhythmic gymnastics: a gymnast's foot holding a luminous glass ball. Bold, provocative, and elegant.

Hyperbutt
Hyperbutt is a conceptual sculpture that explores identity, perception, and formal truth. Inspired by an essential and ironic bodily geometry, the work presents itself as a manifest object: it is always itself, from every point of view. In a world where perception constantly shifts depending on our physical and emotional perspective, Hyperbutt asserts itself as a stable and sincere presence. A symbol of a deep self that wears no mask, it moves fluidly between functions and languages — pouf, lamp, dessert, digital sculpture — while maintaining a primitive coherence that resists time and context.
Hyperbutt exists to remind us that while always remaining true to who we are, we can be anything.

What do you see in me?
Pareidolia is an instinctive process by which our brain perceives completely random forms as known figures or objects. Like animals in the clouds. We can also see a clear image in a set of totally foreign objects...
In the sweep2 armchair some see a knot, others a balloon art sculpture, some a marshmallow, and some Italian friends even call it spaghetti-chair. What about you?

Look at me. It doesn't matter when/r you look. Just look. Past, present and future happen simultaneously. Time is non linear, and space too, many dimensions exists with us, around us, inside us. A point of view is just too relative...
Everything is everywhere everytime, so are us. Time is perception, space is perception, colors, sounds, are perceptions, what's the difference, me and you?
No boundaries between the elements of existence, everything is one, and one is nothing and everything. Where do differences lie if you and I are the same thing?
