Una base prismatica a tre facce specchiate solleva un corpo che ricorda i giocattoli della nostra infanzia. Ma non lasciarti ingannare dall’aspetto ludico: qui siamo di fronte a un oggetto in grado di fondere ingegneria estetica e funzionale. La sua geometria, ispirata all’esagono e al caleidoscopio, permette trasformazioni rapide e infinite. Puoi vestirti come vuoi: di morbida pelliccia eco-friendly, di velluti sontuosi, di pelle sintetica chic o patchwork artistici. The Dionea chair by Quasidesign Studio (@qds.studio ) seems to come out of a parallel world, where gravity bends to the desire for comfort. A prismatic base with three mirrored faces lifts a body reminiscent of the toys of our childhood. But don’t let the playful aspect fool you: here we are dealing with an object that can merge aesthetic and functional engineering. Its geometry, inspired by the hexagon and the kaleidoscope, allows for quick and endless transformations. You can dress it as you wish: in soft eco-friendly fur, sumptuous velvets, chic synthetic leather or artistic patchwork. Each side of its six tetrahedrons is a canvas waiting to be filled with colors, textures and stories.

What do you see in it?
Sweep2 is a distinctive object that can evoke different images in the minds of observers: for some it might resemble a maritime knot, for others it might remind them of baloon art, for Italians probably a plate of spaghetti.
No interpretation is truer than others, the truth of these images lies in the individual experience of the observer.

Eidetic Dream, a virtual gallery we conceived to narrate, through three specifically designed dioramas, the character of the three seats we unveiled at Milan Design Week 2024.
The third diorama is a place beyond the common physical space; it is the place that houses the Sweep2 armchair. A meditative pavilion placed at the center of the starry galaxy that forces one to cross a non-place in time to be reached.
