Today at Appcon, guests grabbed a bite from our Ape Car while diving into the Slice protocol and exploring Coinbase Wallet, discovered Farcaster (yes, decentralized socials are a thing!) and minted some super cool POAPs to prove it. Mercoledì 9 aprile – Decentralized Socials and Digital Communities 🇮🇹Abbiamo esplorato i nuovi spazi sociali decentralizzati: reti dove le relazioni contano più dell’algoritmo. Con @farcaster_xyz e @coinbase , abbiamo parlato di identità digitale, community autonome, DAO e del passaggio da follower a partecipanti attivi. Un workshop pratico ha aiutato artisti e designer a iniziare a costruire la propria presenza su Farcaster. Non si tratta solo di nuovi strumenti, ma di nuovi modi di stare insieme online. ⸻ 🇬🇧We dove into decentralized social networks, where relationships matter more than algorithms. Thanks to @farcaster_xyz and @coinbase , we explored digital identity, DAOs, and the shift from passive followers to active members. A hands-on workshop helped artists and designers start building their presence on Farcaster. It’s not just new tools, it’s a new way to build community online.

From local to onchain — merchants gathered today to explore the future of commerce. In this hands-on workshop, we walked through how to bring businesses onchain: from setting up wallets to publishing products and enabling crypto payments. Real tools, real use cases, real impact. 🇮🇹Abbiamo aperto Appcon parlando di Ethereum e design: non come due mondi separati, ma come strumenti che, insieme, possono dare forma a nuove infrastrutture culturali. La giornata è iniziata con l’inaugurazione della scalinata “TAPPETO” alla Stecca3, un progetto corale che ha messo in dialogo studenti, artisti, architetti, fondazioni e designer. Subito dopo, la conferenza stampa insieme al prof. Marco Tortoioli Ricci, @steccatre e @temporiuso ha presentato l’intero palinsesto della settimana. Ethereum è stato il punto di partenza: un computer globale, ma anche un linguaggio per progettare nuove relazioni. ⸻ 🇬🇧We opened Appcon by exploring the link between Ethereum and design, not as separate worlds, but as tools to build new cultural infrastructures together. The day began with the inauguration of the “TAPPETO” staircase at Stecca3, a collaborative graphic installation created by students, artists, architects, foundations, and designers. Right after, a press conference with Professor Marco Tortoioli Ricci, @steccatre and @temporiuso introduced the full week’s program. Ethereum was our starting point, not just a global computer, but a new language for reimagining connection and collaboration.

🇮🇹Sapete cos’è uno stair painting? Dal 1 al 5 aprile, un team di studenti del Master in Brand Design di @abaperugia , guidati dal prof. Marco Tortoioli Ricci e dall’artista @alicelotti , insieme agli architetti di @temporiuso e @steccatre , ha lavorato con il team di Slice e rappresentanti di Ethereum e Nouns per realizzare un intervento di grafica e tipografia ambientale sulla scalinata della Stecca3, sul tema “Ethereum nella società”. Il progetto vincitore si chiama TAPPETO: una metafora visiva di collaborazione sociale, libero scambio e connessioni abilitanti. E ora scalinata d’entrata per @appcon.eth Un ringraziamento speciale anche a tommaso.paganini per le animazioni e a @paulhenryrobb per la supervisione grafica. ⸻ 🇬🇧 Ever heard of a stair painting? From April 1st to 5th, students from the Master in Brand Design at @abaperugia , led by Prof. Marco Tortoioli Ricci and artist @_alice_lotti_ , worked with architects from @temporiuso and @steccatre , in collaboration with Slice, Ethereum and Nouns, to create a public typography installation on the main stairs of Stecca3.
