This Saturday night at the Westlake High School Jazz Festival in Thousand Oaks, I’ll be leading the LA-edition of my nonet, featuring some of the area’s finest: @realalexhahn @danielrotm @tomluermusic @julienknowles @alanferber @larrykoonse @billcunliffejr @elasansky #markferber We’ll be performing for a theater full of some of the most talented young musicians in the Los Angeles area, so I’m excited to connect with them.

It's a PHENOMENAL band - Alan Ferber (trombone), Julien Knowles (trumpet), Alex Hahn (alto sax), Daniel Rotem (tenor sax), Tom Luer (baritone sax), Anthony Wilson (guitar), Bill Cunliffe (piano), Emiliano Lasansky (bass) and Mark Ferber (drums). They mostly played Ferber's complex, absolutely gorgeous originals. But I wanted to listen to and delight in those rather than shooting them.
