The Warehouse opens next Saturday!
Join us April 4 from 1:30–4:30pm at Brooklyn Public Library’s Bedford Branch for the opening reception and panel with Rachel Herzing, James Kilgore, and Vic Liu. Free and open to all ages.
The Warehouse is a full-branch takeover featuring over two dozen large-scale paintings by Vic Liu, created in collaboration with abolitionist organizer Mariame Kaba. The exhibition explores life beyond mass incarceration, the realities of the prison system, and the community practices building safety without punishment.
The show runs April 4 through June 28, with free public programming throughout, including community trainings, a cross-prison book club, family discussions, and a closing Abolitionist Fair on June 27.
