Happy Seollal 2026, Year of the Horse! AK Connection is wishing everyone a joyful, meaningful, and safe Seollal. As we step into the Year of the Horse, may this year bring you strength, courage, and forward movement. The horse symbolizes resilience and determination; qualities that so many in our community embody every day. Seollal is a time to reflect on where we’ve been and to honor where we’re going. We hope you continue to find, embrace, and explore what it means to be a Korean adoptee and what it means to be Korean — in ways that feel authentic and empowering to you. Whether that’s through culture, language, community, food, family traditions, or simply gathering together, your journey is valid and worth celebrating. Don’t forget to check out KCC’s Seollal celebration this Saturday, and mark your calendars for AK Connection’s Seollal Celebration on February 28. As many of us in Minnesota are feeling shaken, anxious, and overwhelmed by recent federal immigration enforcement in Minneapolis, AK Connection is hosting two virtual sessions of Roots & Reflections: A Support Circle for Korean Adoptees. Roots & Reflections is facilitated by Megan Nyberg, LPCC, a licensed clinician and fellow Korean adoptee from Minnesota. These two sessions offer a supportive space for adult Korean adoptees living in Minnesota to process the emotional impact of ICE's presence in our communities and reflect on how immigration systems intersect with adoptee identity, family separation, and belonging. • February 15 (1:00–3:00 pm) • February 22 (1:00–3:00 pm) What to Expect • Registration required — limited space • Participants may register for one or both sessions • Google Meet link sent closer to dates • Group discussion • Small breakout groups • Mindfulness & grounding exercises Registration link in bio šŸ‘† /en-US/ticketing/roots-and-reflections-a-support-circle-for-korean-adoptees
