It seems fitting that our @disabilityfilmchallenge short dramedy film Good Girl Gone would lead us somewhere over the rainbow @sonypictures since it was inspired in part by the Wizard of Oz’s central theme of home and belonging. While our film highlights a disabled experience we wove in the intricacies of ableism both internal and projected. Because it is a partnership and it takes awareness, perseverance and grace to unravel. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this seedling of an idea to life. And to @nicnovicki@miaschaik@eastersealshq for giving us this platform and @rampd_up for such a wealth of talented disabled artists to collaborate with. 🌈🎬♿️🎶

2 days, a couple rewrites, and more shots than we should have been able to capture, and EDFC 2026 is wrapped. I think it’s safe to say most of us got into this industry to make a difference, and what better way to do that than to donate our time and knowledge to raise awareness for disabilities.
Once again, my personality was honored to make an appearance AFTER wrap (1st ADs iykyk), and of course I was honored to work with some very talented and special people. Keep an eye out for the final cut, as well as all the other entries to the challenge.
