Day one in London! (We made it- Phew we were delayed several hours in ROC, and thankfully our connection to Heathrow was also delayed 😮💨!!) So spent the day getting acclimated and resting. just finished up a tasty dinner and it’s straight to bed, we’ve got a long wild week ahead of us that we can only vaguebook about for now- but with all 150 pounds of balloons in our luggage accounted for, it’s going to be awesome!
#throwbackthursday to an installation we created at @roco137 in 2017 called “Chains will never hold that” with the statement @Airigami partner @kellycheatle wrote about what we saw happening at the time.
We have been welcomed with open arms by people around the world, building sculptures and work in over 20 countries. China, Japan, Kuwait, Dubai, France, Scotland - it didn’t matter if we didn’t speak the same language (hee hee love you Scotland) folks shared their culture and took care of us. We are obligated as citizens of the world to do the same.
❤️🩹 We stand with the folks of #Minnesota, and everywhere else for that matter. #nooneisfreeuntilweareallfree
AIRIGAMI - CLOSED FRIDAY 1/30/26
We are joining several other Rochester, NY area businesses and closing our office on Friday (no meetings no balloon deliveries) in solidarity with our neighbors in Minnesota who are calling for a strike and refraining from commerce on 1/30.
We know there is strength in numbers, and that sustained economic boycotts and strikes require planning and numbers, but those numbers have to start somewhere. We are proud that our staff was 100% on board.
If you’d like to join in - reach out and we’ll connect you with some nice folks who are investing their time into building this effort in Rochester.
Incredible community build today with @airigami at the @corningmuseum - artists @larrycmoss and @kellycheatle blew up a miniature marvel by botanical and biological glass artists Leopold and Rudolph #Blaschka to massive scale with the help of visitors to the museum. The piece will be on display this week - go check it out!
Today’s the day! 🎈
Don’t forget to join us in the Gather Gallery for a first-ever Community Balloon Sculpture experience with Airigami, inspired by the incredible Blaschka Sea Creatures. @airigami
Stop by anytime today to inflate, twist, and connect balloons as we build a stunning collaborative sculpture together! Explore the magic of shaping with breath—whether in glass or balloons—and help create something amazing during your holiday visit.

@larrycmoss Executive Director of @teachingartistsroc shares the magic of @airigami and what it means to be a Teaching Artist - using the arts as a means of educating community about concepts and ideas, literally breathing life into learning.
It’s a rainy day here at @colorscapechenangoartsfestival but we have a tent. A dedicated volunteer crew will make this Airigami #BubbleMural. If you’re in or near Norwich NY, come join us. #publicart #CommunityArt
It’s been 10 years since Etsy featured us as their online greeting card. Thanks to Catherine Stratton for producing and directing this holiday video. #Throwback #HappyHolidays #GingerbreadMan
The arts are more than just a form of expression—they’re a pathway to learning, a tool for community building, and a source of inspiration. At Teaching Artists ROC, we see the transformative power of the arts every day, and we’re inviting you to join us in making a difference this Giving Tuesday, December 3.
Through partnerships with talented teaching artists and organizations, we bring creative experiences to classrooms, after-school programs, and community events across Rochester. Last year, our artists engaged over 14,000 people, including 3,800 attendees at public events.
But we can’t do it without you.
This Roc the Day, your support will:
• Provide funding for school and community arts programs.
• Ensure teaching artists are paid fairly for their valuable work.
• Expand access to the arts for students in underserved areas.
When you give, you’re not just supporting TAROC—you’re fostering a brighter, more creative future for our community.
Let’s make a difference together. Roc the Day with TAROC - today /taroc-give
