The year was 1975, and Pink Floyd was the sound track of the times.
Legendary stuntman Ronnie Rondell stepped into frame, engulfed in flames, and shook the hand of a fellow stuntman, Danny Rodgers.
50 years later Ronnie Rondell’s grandson @d.b.rondell stepped into that same frame, shaking the hand of @tylerbereman , following in the footsteps of his family.

Stunts: Fuck yeah! Congrats to the tens of thousands of incredible performers, craftspeople, senseis, cowboys, warriors, dancers, engineers, jocks, nerds and everyone else on every stunt team that have put it all on the line to entertain and enthrall us for 100+ years - with no recognition other than the joy of the process and a lot of physical therapy. It has been a singular privilege to bear witness to an amazing band of misfits that sprang up in the South Bay and has changed cinema over decades of tireless work. Today’s recognition by the Academy that stunts and action design deserve the same love as the many other incredible arts that come together to create a movie is a testament to the dogged determination of @davidmleitch and @airaware1 , who I met decades ago being twirled around on a torturous spinning device known as the “Yak Rig” that should probably be illegal. @chadstahelski , Kier Beck and the guru RA Rondell were also there to be spun or do the spinning in humiliating blue Lycra suits and make magic. @87northaction and one zillion collaborators along the way you fucking did it! Love you guys so much.
