700+ applications later, we have our
@image.ie @pwc_ireland Business Women of the Year 2026. Last night, in my introductory remarks, I talked about the importance of celebrating the women and young girls in the room but also honouring those, in all of their diversity and brilliance, who aren’t in the room and to ensure that all of them also benefit from the positive ripple effects from nights like last night where 1400 people gathered in the RDS. So what’s the ask?
“How will you use your privilege?” asked
@katriona_osullivan , winner of Diversity & Inclusion Leader of the Year. Go read her books, find ways to volunteer, donate, do things that help those in need in the world around you, don’t be the person who says “not my problem”.
Check out women like
@theresecoveney , winner of Social Entrepreneur of the Year – Community Impact for
@togetheracademy_ie , who is giving purpose, training and employment to young adults with Down Syndrome. Women like Orla Dolan from
@breakthroughcancerresearch who has grown the charity exponentially through her tenure. (and if we want a number on that, it’s 1,456 percent). Women like
@larissa_feeney_kinore , CEO of the year, who has proven that you don’t have to leave your beloved home county of Donegal to build an award winning business in Kinore.
