Today’s the day. Animalz premieres and with it, a piece of my soul and many sleepless nights. This isn’t just a short film. It’s a mirror, a provocation, and maybe a quiet scream. What if the world as we know it flipped and we were the ones caged, hunted, dominated? I made this with my closest friend and creative brother, Luca Ontino. Just the two of us, building everything from scratch: the story, the visuals, the score, every frame, every beat, every pixel. We pushed each other, challenged our limits, and poured everything we had into this. It’s raw, it’s uncomfortable, and it’s exactly what we wanted it to be. KING KONG is a wild, satirical music video I created for multi-platinum DJ & producer David Jones—known for working with icons like Armin Van Buuren, Massive Attack’s Shara Nelson, Coolio, DJ Satomi, and more, with releases on Ultra, Spinnin, Ministry of Sound, and Universal. Set in a futuristic nightclub, KING KONG unleashes a chaotic dance-off between humans, androids, and giant robotic gorillas. Think glitchy visuals, absurd sci-fi antics, and a tongue-in-cheek clash of AI vs traditional art—robots snort data, kiss androids, and brawl with orange-painted protest bots. It’s a neon riot of satire and spectacle, powered by cutting-edge AI tools like Hailuo (Minimax), Vidu AI, Veo2, Basedlabs, Whisk, Vadoo AI, ShaiKE and more. Some nightmares don’t arrive with a scream. Sometimes they begin quietly. Almost invisibly. A tiny intrusion while the world is asleep. I created a vertical horror story built around that idea: the fear of not realizing something has already entered your life and that by the time you feel it, it may already be too late. It’s a small experiment in body horror, transformation, and atmosphere, but the goal was simple: create discomfort without explaining too much. I’m fascinated by this new space where cinema, imagination, and generative tools collide. Not to replace the craft, but to push what’s possible when a filmmaker can move from idea to image at terrifying speed. Some projects feel like a sprint. This one feels like building a ship while already at sea and I love it! We just finalized a 2-minute live-action sample sequence for RUN RABBIT, an ambitious feature project crafted with AI tools across the pipeline, but guided by very traditional principles: cinema first, story, stakes, rhythm, and performance. What excites me most is the scale of collaboration behind it: multiple artists, multiple aesthetics, one unified narrative spine. It’s challenging in the best way, every choice has to serve the story, and every tool has to disappear behind the emotion. Massive gratitude to Brad Minnich for the leadership and trust, and a big thank you to my entire team Luca Ontino, Paola Merlotti, Celeste Zodo and Barbara Tanzini for the dedication and precision that makes the work hold up under scrutiny. Honored and deeply grateful to the Bracciano Film Festival for this recognition. This award marks the 18th accolade received by “Animalz – Part One”, a film I had the privilege of creating alongside Luca Ontino. Seeing this project continue to resonate after almost a year from its release, is something I do not take lightly, and I’m sincerely thankful for the support and appreciation it has received. For this occasion, I didn’t want to simply post a traditional thank-you message. I felt it would be more meaningful and perhaps more honest to the spirit of the film and of my work, to create something in return. A small cinematic piece to celebrate the moment in a less expected way. A playful idea, of course but also a reflection of something real. Because behind every discussion around AI, the point remains the same: tools evolve, but vision, taste, and storytelling remain at the center. To everyone who continues to support this work, thank you. And to those still skeptical… no hard feelings. I simply preferred to celebrate this one in an uncommon way. Proud to share our submission to the Luma Dream Brief 💙💙💙 I teamed up with two of the best people I know @ai.beyondframes and @limonja and together we created two spots, two characters, two worlds, and two endings. One beer. It was one of the most challenging and exciting creative experiences I’ve had. We pushed Luma to its limits, questioned every frame, and had a blast doing it. Proud of what we made. What neither of them knows is that they have met their match because they are not ordinary people. Through a parking lot, a subway, a glacier, and a pool party, they fight with the strength and endurance of something beyond human. Their eyes burn gold. They survive everything they throw at each other. But neither can win. Until the bottle slips. Cracks open. And something that has been waiting inside for a very long time comes out. A monster.
