Director-editor and Jewish Entertainment Alliance co-founder @stuartacher talks the ethics of AI and his short film “Next Stop Paris.” Acher, a professor who teaches AI filmmaking at Emerson College, says this of the collective societal fear of AI: “And as I started working on it, I realized, oh wait, this is a tool,” he said. “This thing’s not going to replace me or anyone pretty quickly because you really need even a story to tell.” read more here: /culture/arts/film/387622/ethically-produced-ai-film-filmmaker-and-professor-says-yes/ #aifilmmaking #aidirecting #jewishfilmmaker

Earlier this year, Kevin Bright, the producer of Friends, saw my AI short Next Stop Paris and proposed a brand-new AI filmmaking course at Emerson College with me as the instructor.
On Monday evening, we screened the students' final films, and I was blown away. These artists combined traditional filmmaking techniques with cutting-edge AI tools to create something truly innovative.
The Q&A session that followed turned into an in-depth discussion about storytelling, ethics, prompting, and process, and I was impressed by the students' engagement.
I'm unsure what the future of filmmaking holds, but one thing is certain - this group is ready for it. Congratulations!
I once wrote and directed an entire feature film set in a car — #STUCK. So it only felt right to drop some more car stuff. Combining my traditional filmmaking with some Gen AI tools to see how far I can push it. @googledeepmind@lumalabsai@runwayapp@klingai_official
Best-selling author @darrenhardy (The Compound Effect) asked me to create a Mission Impossible-style trailer for his Fortune 1000 clients. The goal: make it feel like a @tomcruise movie with a message. Check it out.
