Reach for the stars 💫 @variety Hitmakers 2025 can best be summed up by this lofty phrase. Whenever @jemaswad told me about one insanely amazing award idea after another - Sabrina Carpenter as our Hitmaker of the Year, Tyler the Creator as our Innovator of the Decade (presented by Andre 3000!) or actual Living Legend Buddy Guy with his “Sinners” costar Miles Caton - I said, “I mean, that would be awesome if it actually happens” and then immediately started working the phones to ensure we had the right partners to help amplify all these incredible moments and the many more that accompanied them. I will be pinching myself for days to come 🤯Thanks to every single artist, songwriter, producer, exec, sponsor and colleague who burned the midnight oil with us 💖
First @variety CMA Awards Week in the books 🤠✅ A big cowboy salute to the dream combo of the Variety Music, Photo & Video + @anzieblue + @dukecannon + @cma + @hellofemco + @ebiemedia teams who made our inaugural CMA Lounge such a sweet-smelling success 🧼 Pulling this off during an already insanely busy time of year brought new meaning to the phrase of “it takes a village,” and I will spend the rest of the year counting my blessings that I have so many wonderful friends both new and old in my tribe 💙 And biggest thank yous (and congrats!) to all the CMA nominated and winning artists who came by - especially @shaboozey + @stephen.wilson.jr for surprising the 🐐 @willman.chris with his own richly deserved CMA Award for Media Achievement 🏆
Still processing @variety ’s inaugural Power of Women Nashville event, which brought our mission of celebrating women of all sectors (and the ways they give back) to Music City for the very first time. We laughed (queen Reba 😂), we cried (as Sheryl & Kelsea shared their emotional journeys) and we leapt to our feet for the game-changing speech given by Mickey Guyton 👏
And just as crucially, we were treated to some damn good music from @meghanlinsey@thisistylercain & an all-star Nashville band plus a special showcase starring @dashamusic courtesy of @amazonmusic and next-level audio provided by @l.acoustics.official
I’m so proud and humbled by what we were able to achieve in a very short amount of time, and we couldn’t have done it without @jemaswad@willman.chris@milliechiavelli & our unparalleled events & production teams 💙💙 Hope to see you at the next one, but had to take a moment to thank just some of the many folks who made this extra special 🤠
