Creative Vibes Only® has been activating programming, Accelerators and Content over the last 5 years. When the COVID-19 Pandemic hit, we were relegated to creating a virtual space to serve. It really wasn’t ideal. However, we’re grateful that we’ve grown our community globally since the pandemic. In that growth, we realized gathering in person is ideal for CVO, but circumstances may not always allow us to do that or see each other in person all the time at our Accelerators. But we still want to serve, that's why we've curated this monthly digest to continue delivering tangible tools, resources and strategies to you and your inbox, no matter what part of the world you’re in as a way to support your growth in all areas of your life as a creative. I spoke with @jovianzayne about gratitude, intention and purpose. In The conversation what stood out the most was an insight, question and reflection she asked herself was: “What are you packing with you today to be well?” That is such a profound question and reflection. When we’re going somewhere, before we leave the house we make sure we have the essential things for wherever we’re going or whatever we’ll be doing. LFG —Today my company, @ageofthecreative turns 10! There is a flurry of emotions and thoughts that come up — Joy, happiness, neutrality and others. I actually started the company as a legal formality. But because I am a 0 or 100 type of person my mind immediately went to making it into a “thing”. It just had to “be a thing”. I didn’t concretely know what that was, so I put in numerous resources and spent days, weeks, hours, months and even years thinking about what my company is, what it does, who we work with, and how we serve. I reflected on my experiences producing and working at ad agencies, my experiences having artists friends and my experiences working with creatives directly. I noticed there were some problems and gaps I saw in the market: 1. Companies, creative brands and agencies want to work with the artist community, 2. Artists and creatives want more opportunities to work with brands to scale or grow their creative business 3. 65% of brand teams are not aligned with a creative partner that optimizes the spend and growth of business Since I understood the separate worlds of marketing, business and creativity and was able to speak all the languages, I saw a unique opportunity — the company can be the bridge. The bridge that bringing both sides together and provides to the most pressing business challenges. So that’s where I landed; Being a network support engine that advises, connects, and empowers both the creative and brand communities to build, market and grow their businesses together. While certain aspects of the answers to the questions I asked myself evolved over time, the mission remains consistent and true —  Equip and empower the artist and creative community with the reosurces and opportunities for growth.  The company turning 10 is a reflective moment for sure. One reflection is GRATITUDE. I am feeling extremely grateful that I’ve been able to work with people and brands I wanted to work with, to make a positive impact in someone’s life and to deliver results while creating a meaningful and values-based business. As I embark on what beyond 10 years, my core values steer the ship: to learn, to love, to grow & to serve.
