This is the first rotoscope animation I ever made, and I’m using it to celebrate my new track with @samhowdenmusic and @meesonbass on @chillhopmusic .
Hope you dig, fire emojis in the comments for @samhowdenmusic ’s trumpet playing 🔥🔥🔥
Music worth buying pt.2 >>>>>>
Last Month I cancelled my Spotify Subscription
I wanted to rediscover my love for music by buying music on Bandcamp and physical formats instead.
Sharing some of my favs each month, new and old 🫶🏽
S. Fidelity - Fidelity Radio Club
Now that I’m (re)building my music library almost from scratch, some of the first projects I’m getting are projects I’ve been listening to for years already.
With streaming I’d usually listen to projects once or twice and then just add my favourite tracks to playlists. But Owning less music makes me return to albums way more often.
The first track I had on repeat was “Tiara St.” A year later it was “Something Good”. Last year it was “me at the zoo”.
Nowadays I just listen front to back. Guess it’s time for the vinyl.
Marigold - with love and confusion
A few years ago a good friend told me to check out “Matte Black Ufo” by Marigold and it really felt like discovering a (Mari)gold mine.
Every time I browse his discography I find new gems. Yesterday I celebrated that by buying “- with love and confusion”.
My current favourite discovery is “Oh, Sunshine”.
Marigold mainly seems to play guitar, but yo this piano heavy track is a winner too.
It strangely reminds me of Duval Timothy’s contributions to Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers by Kendrick Lamar. In the best way possible.
One of my favourites outside of that project is Do You // Tori’s Ballad.
Whenever I hear the track I think about my friends Rick, Petie and Niels, who all sadly passed away in the last two years.
As Mac Miller jokingly said in his Tiny Desk Concert: “Music is a beautiful thing man, music is a beautiful thing.”
Welcome back, Afroham!
The Rotterdam-based producer will be blessing us with new music very soon.
Two years ago we released his debut EP 'Quantum Love,' where he introduced a distinctive blend of neo-soul, lofi and hip-hop, shaped alongside vocalists @_ginge____ and @djemeia , and fellow producers @ianewingmusic , @birocratic , and @mishabeats .
Afroham’s name playfully nods to his surname and his signature hairdo, while his creative range extends far beyond music. Alongside DJing, he also works in video and 2D/3D illustration & animation.
We’ve built a studio in my garden ayo!!!!! Big big thank you to @dannyschepers who lead the project and both Danny and @manoahdeijmann for putting so much love and effort into it. Slides for some process footage. Last slide is the old shed! Also it doubles as a guest room so all my producer and artist friends from around the world you’re invited to come through you know who you are 🫶
Music worth buying vol.1
After 14 years I canceled my Spotify subscription
Music is one of the most important things in my life, and l I’ve been getting tired of listening to an algorithmic echo chamber
Because of this I’m starting a monthly series of old and new music I think is worth buying. Check the slides!!!

BINA. - Chaos is her Name
Copped this on Bandcamp yesterday, even though it’s been out since 2024 I only recently discovered her music.
The project is really varied and grooves from start to finish. Produced by Subculture, Jaye Locke, Efajemue and Teo
Favorite track: Bossy ➡️
FloFilz - Dim Down
Small EP from FloFilz Released by my own label of choice: Melting Pot Music in April 2025)
While I love Flo’s full length albums just as much (with the latest record being Hagaki)
This one didn’t go unnoticed mainly because of the features. I was already listening to music by every single feature on this project so hearing them come together on a FloFilz produced project is a treat.
Favorite track: Doves (ft. Kofi Stone) ➡️
Flako - Mesektet Extnd
This is in my top 3 favourite instrumental projects of all time. It’s from 2011 but I still listen to it almost every month.
his later work is great as well, but there is a certain rawness and playfulness to this project that I rarely hear in anyones music nowadays.
A timeless project that you should definitely listen to if you haven’t yet.
Favourites (couldn’t pick one): Moonchild, Sun Ba, Crying on the In, Wedjit, Lords of Chaos. ➡️
My own music is on bandcamp too!
Listen and buy my 2023 EP there as well as all the upcoming music, I’ve been cooking!!
