@aemyn.zines — I recently fell in love with zines as a form of diy publishing, to me it’s one of the most accessible & encouraging crafts I’ve ever tried. In a world of institution & prescribed authority, the experience of reading a little book made by a regular person is absolutely unheard of. With my zines I’ve been channeling experiences of love, work, grief and joy into something I can share with friends and strangers to quietly say “Hey, I see the love you feel, or I see the pain you carry — it’s ours! — And we can carry it together” 💌 A
it cannot go without saying that to be working on art right now as palest!n!an families face genoc!de is an immense privilege, that where one focuses their attention is not a passive action, and in this awareness me and many artists i know are seeking more ways to meaningfully respond and show up and support, and to be shaped by the reality of our world instead of hide away in fantasy & inaction
what's happening right now is not some business as usual, small struggles between groups seen at a distance, we're seeing the systematic decimation of innocent people. it's going to take every voice at every level to demand our collective humanity be heard and dismantle the quiet machinery of violence

29th May, in a secret, private inner-west location to be revealed on the day. There is unfortunately one flight of stairs into the venue, but if access is a concern hit me up and we will see how we can help.
You can purchase a ticket via the link in my bio - $20, or $10 if you've got low income, or you can pay whatever you want - we all agreed that nobody should be turned away for lack of funds. Music is something humans do and we're not about to gatekeep.
We'll be doing hot chocolate for a gold coin at the venue! Bring your camping mug, but no glass!
The best bit now: we invite all guests to come in their pyjamas, and we'll do the same! The theme is "fairy garden slumber party", so come in your comfiest fit and get cozy 😴

I recorded a reading of Home Remedies back in September 2025, but really quickly got busy with life things and other projects, so it the idea of editing this little audiobook ended up in the cupboard.
But recently a @maddog.pdf has been including my poetry in their zine readings on Instagram which has been really encouraging, and I’ve been listening to a lot of poetry readings by my favourite poets, and so I wanted to finally get something up that was in my voice so that anyone who wants to can listen to it, and anyone who isn’t able to read it in text form (or who would have to use a text-to-speech) can access it. Wide accessibility has been a goal of my diy publishing for a long time and so I’m really happy to finally get this audio version online.
