I had the chance of documenting the process, the final pieces and these videos of Mexico City to make sure a bit of home was present in New York.

Obviamente que cuando @renatadelr me invito a retratar piezas de @javiersenosiana para @friedman_benda , me emocione muchísimo, gracias en parte a la sensibilidad con la que Renata me platico sobre el trabajo de Javier. Pero esa emoción no se compara con lo que sentí ya estando adentrada en el universo mágico imaginado por Javier. Estar cerca de su obra es estar soñando despierta; algo que agradece profundamente la niña eterna que soy.
Gracias @alejandracastaneda83 por toda la ayuda y las platicas el día de las fotos. Sigo soñando con esa sandía que me trajiste en el momento más perfecto.

Obviously, when @renatadelr invited me to photograph pieces by @javiersenosiana for @friedman_benda , I was beyond excited, in part thanks to the sensitivity with which Renata talked about Javier’s work with me. But that excitement doesn’t compare to what I felt once I was immersed in the magical universe imagined by Javier. Being close to his work is like being awake in a dream; something that the eternal child in me appreciates deeply.
Thank you @alejandracastaneda83 for all the help and conversations on the day of the photoshoot. I’m still dreaming of that watermelon you brought me at the most perfect moment.
