Another hidden Highlight of my year so far was being part of FELLBACH TRIENNALE 25 with POV o Mutter deine Blumen bleich wie du im Neonlicht (The multimedia installation was realized 2024 after my residency at @akademiederkuenste with great support of @claradius <3!) FELLBACH TRIENNALE is curated by @claudia_emmert and @inaneddermeyer - thank you so much for the invite - what a wonderful experience and fun opening with many great artists. So nice that @kunstforum_international wrote about the Show and my work as well. THROWBACK: EMMA ADLER: E1_0.26 48H NEUKÖLLN  @48stundennk 27 - 28 JUN 2025 | NEUKÖLLN ARCADEN Behind an orange door, a space emerged that didn’t exactly invite people in — not a typical shop, but a curious, temporary presence in the heart of the busy Neukölln Arcaden. What at first seemed like a mysterious installation gradually revealed itself — to those paying close attention, undistracted by the surrounding — to be a performance. E1_0.26, staged by Emma Adler for 48 Stunden Neukölln, explored the fragile boundaries between reality, representation, and perception. In this context, the very concept of exhibition was intentionally expanded — beyond a fixed format — to encompass the entire environment of the Neukölln Arcaden, including its visitors and the ever-present noise of the space. EMMA ADLER: E1_0.26 48H NEUKÖLLN @48stundennk OPENING: 27 JUN 2025 7–10 PM 28 JUN 2025 10–10 PM NEUKÖLLN ARCADEN, GROUND FLOOR BEHIND THE ORANGE DOOR Behind an orange door, a space unfolds that resists direct access — not a traditional shop, but a temporary outlier in the midst of the bustling Neukölln Arcaden. With the presentation E1_0.26, Emma Adler, as part of 48 Stunden Neukölln, casts a glance at the fragile relationship between reality, representation, and interpretation — at those subtle shifts where truth and perception start to falter. Adler’s artistic vocabulary is a play on seeing and believing, an intensive engagement with words and perception: Do I only believe what I see — or do I only see what I believe? What appears to be fact reveals itself, on closer inspection, as a construct. E1_0.26 is not an answer but an invitation to recalibrate one’s gaze — where doubt becomes a space for insight. Thank you so much! 🖤 Big thanks as well to @caprii__room and @sieshoeke IN DER WUT STECKT DER WURM REBEKKA WILKENS ÜBER GAMING UND GEGEN-SUBLIMIERUNG Ein giftgrüner Gaming-Stuhl steckt in einem Sandhügel fest, als habe ihn dort jemand nach vielen durchzockten Nächten achtlos entsorgt. Die Vermutung bleibt jedoch spekulativ, denn es gibt keine Hinweise auf seine Geschichte. Die Besucher*innen von Emma Adlers Ausstellung „Veritas Vermibus“, die 2024 im Düsseldorfer Ausstellungsraum Caprii der Galerie Sies + Höke gezeigt wurde, fanden sich in einem halbdunklen Raum wieder, der wie eine unwirkliche Welt anmutete. Wände, Decke und Sandboden in gleichförmigem Grau erweckten den Eindruck einer zeitlosen Dystopie. Atmosphärisch schien sich Adlers Ausstellung damit der Virtualität von Videospielen anzugleichen, um sie im selben Zuge zu problematisieren. …. In Adlers Ausstellung wird der Gaming-Stuhl zur symbolischen „Kanzel“, zum Ort politischer Indoktrinierung. [3] Damit thematisiert die Künstlerin die zunehmende Verlagerung von Narrativen der Meinungsmache in virtuelle Räume, die autoritäre Player bestens für sich zu nutzen wissen. Da Gaming jedoch auch dann eine politische Dimension hat, wenn es im Alltag „nur“ als Ablenkung fungiert, möchte ich es hier als Teil einer Triebdynamik der Sublimierung interpretieren. …. Wer der Verlockung widersteht, sich von der unbequemen Realität abzulenken, ist bereit, die wahren Protagonist*innen aus Adlers Ausstellung als solche zu erkennen: Sie hausen im Dunkeln, unter der Erde, auch in unseren Körpern. Da sie uns so unheimlich nahe kommen, finden wir sie eklig. Würmer sind blind wie Triebe, umtriebig, außerdem stumm und taub. [26] Wie Agent*innen der Gegen-Sublimierung identifizieren sie Giftstoffe in der Erde, graben diese um und verwandeln ihre Zusammensetzung. STRG-Z - last week!!!! The huge windows of the gallery are covered with a foil showing an image of the evening sky - from outside it is not possible to look in. The natural light that falls through is tinted rosé, alternating between cooler and warmer tones as the day progresses, like a softener that tries to smooth or cover the brutality of the fence and the morbidity of the roots. And to my sweet partner in crime for setting up this monster of a foil with me on that stormy day! 🪜👹🌪️💦🔪❤️🪜 Also to @gammelhirn for helping us cleaning the sticky windows and holding our ladders!
