Episode 15 of ADHD Beyond the Label features Nicole Stevens, who many will recognise from Love Is Blind UK. Hosted by ADHD 360 CEO Dr Phil Anderton, alongside co-host John Reynolds, the series continues to share real stories that challenge how ADHD is seen and understood. In this episode, Nicole talks openly about growing up without answers, facing stigma within her own family, and the clarity that came with being diagnosed as an adult. It’s a conversation about identity, courage, and what it means to finally feel understood. As the UK’s leading ADHD clinic, we’re proud that our CEO is part of a series that’s helping to shift the conversation. 📺 Watch it tomorrow at 9am on Bloomberg TV: Sky 502, Virgin 609 and Freesat 208. #ADHD #ADHDAwareness #ADHDBeyondTheLabel

✨ This week on Beyond the Label episode we were joined by none other than Heston Blumenthal OBE – the world-renowned chef, innovator, and pioneer of multi-sensory gastronomy. Known for pushing the boundaries of food at his three Michelin-starred restaurant The Fat Duck, Heston has redefined how we experience flavour, memory, and emotion through food. But behind the culinary genius is also a story of neurodivergence. Diagnosed with ADHD in 2017, Heston opened up to us about how his busy mind, boundless creativity, and ability to “fall down rabbit holes” shaped his career and inspired some of his most daring dishes - from crab ice cream to The Sound of the Sea. We spoke about:
🔸 The link between ADHD and creativity in the kitchen
🔸 His childhood school reports that simply read “can do better”
🔸 How he translated French cookbooks as a teenager and discovered food science through curiosity
🔸 Why the way we perceive food can change the way it tastes
🔸 His openness about ADHD and bipolar diagnoses - and the importance of raising awareness to remove shame As Heston put it, the brain is “a very busy thing” - and learning about ADHD helped him understand not just his challenges, but also the unique strengths that fuelled his career. 🎧In this week’s episode of ADHD Beyond the Label, Heston joins Phil Anderton and John Reynolds to share his journey, from misplaced dustpans in fridges to pioneering dishes that changed the way the world thinks about food. 🎬 Watch episode 23 this Saturday at 9 am on Bloomberg TV – Sky 502 | Virgin 609 | Freesat 208 #ADHD #ADHDAwareness #ADHDBeyondTheLabel

Wednesday 22nd April our Chairman Mark Sugden MBE was invited by Phil Anderton, the founder of ADHD360, to visit Sturgate Airfield in Lincolnshire to meet up with some of the young neurodivergent pilots that Phil coaches through their aviation journey. Graced with clear blue skies, it was a privilege to witness Archie Read (Diagnosed ADHD and Autism) plan and then fly his navigation flight as part of his private pilot qualification and go flying with Toby Goodale (ADHD and a qualified pilot) in the Lincoln Aero Club’s Piper PA 28 and Adam Driffill (Diagnosed autism and a qualified pilot and instructor) in his part owned Piper L4 club - an aircraft that served in WW2 in the Italy campaign. Suggs said afterwards “I sometimes forget how much pleasure flying brings to people and I’ve never met more enthusiastic pilots, who were so completely in their element.” Phil Anderton said “having Mark here was a huge morale boost for these lads. They are so competent and content, flying brings out the very best in them all. The system is often against them but they continue to thrive, succeed and lead their best lives. With the Mark Long Trust and other organisations like Aerobility we can make a huge difference for people that want fly and need to overcome either visible or invisible challenges. What a proud night this was”. @adhdbeyondthelabel @360adhd @phila_adhd @aerobility #marklongtrust #aviationforall #bemoreschlongy

Abuse didn’t define her. What she did next will. Emily Victoria’s story is hard to hear… but even more powerful to understand. A traumatic childhood. Abuse. A father sent to prison. Experiences that could have defined her life. But they didn’t. Her story was shared in the Netflix documentary: A Paedophile in My Family - surviving Dad. It was trending #1 when we filmed. Through understanding her ADHD - the RSD, the shame, the emotional weight - Emily began to make sense of her own story. And in doing so… she’s become a beacon of hope and inspiration for others. Showing people they’re not alone. That there is a way through. This is what lived experience looks like when it’s turned into purpose. @emilysvictory on @adhdbeyondthelabel 🎬 Goes live 9:30am Saturday 18th March @bloomberg TV / Sky 502 @spotify #Podcast

We’ve got ADHD backwards. Most people think it’s about being overstimulated. But from lived experience… that’s not what’s actually going on. As TJ Power explains - doom scrolling, constant input, quick dopamine hits… It doesn’t calm the mind. It fragments it. The more we chase stimulation… the harder it becomes to focus. Behind every delayed ADHD diagnosis is someone trying to make sense of themselves without answers. Long NHS waiting lists don’t just delay support… they often lead to anxiety, burnout, and people giving up before they’re even seen. Not because they don’t need help. Because they don’t believe it’s coming. And the longer the wait… the heavier that becomes. @elizabeth_kickscount on @adhdbeyondthelabel - full conversation on Spotify #podcast What impact have you seen this have - personally or around you? #adhd #adhdawareness #neurodiversity

“If I’d done it the normal way - I’d probably still be sat here” Elizabeth Hutton OBE lost her son Toby during pregnancy - and refused to let that be the end of the story. Now CEO of stillbirth-prevention charity Kicks Count, she turned that loss into a fight for change. She pushed. She challenged. She took her fight all the way to government. Because of that… change happened. Safer maternity care. Greater awareness. Lives protected. That relentless drive? She credits it, in part, to her ADHD. The energy. The urgency. The refusal to accept “this is just how it is.” A powerful reminder that what’s often labelled a limitation can become the very thing that drives real change. @elizabeth_kickscount on @adhdbeyondthelabel goes live 8:30am Saturday Bloomberg TV / SKY 502 & Spotify #podcast

Dopamine destruction. That’s what our next generation are facing. Constant stimulation. Endless scrolling. Instant hits. No space to think. His neurodivergence didn’t limit him… it has shaped his path into neuroscience. TJ Power is challenging everything we think we know about ADHD. Founder of The DOSE Lab, his work explores how our brain’s key chemicals are being disrupted by modern life. So the real question is Are we raising focused minds… or addicted ones?
