‘Inattendu’ (oil on wood, D24cm, 2026) is currently on view at my solo exhibition ‘Coup de Soleil’ @barbegallery
The words ‘amour inattendu et maintenant en plein vue’ were written in one haul. The intensivity of painting these words by hand only using brush and oilpaint, matches the content of the text. ‘Inattendu’ is about unexpected affective encounters in terms of friendship, recognition or love that shed new light on things.
