Junior Delgado and Augustus Pablo shared a profound, long-term partnership that spanned over two decades, characterized by a deep personal friendship that produced some of Junior Delgado’s most iconic works.
1978 saw Pablo produce two masterpieces, ‘Away With Your Fussing And Fighting’ and ‘Black Man’s Heart Cries Out, both records with flawless vocal deliveries from Junior.
Reuniting again during the mid 80’s, their most fruitful partnership produced Delgados landmark album Raggamuffin Year released in 1986 for Island Records, along with the successful follow-up album One Step More, later touring together, with their 1986 live shows at London’s Astoria Theatre being regarded as a pinnacle of their partnership.

“As a little child growing up in the ghetto, I used to hear the sound of Pablo. I didn’t meet him those times yet. I entered into the music business through @sugarminott , where it all started from. There, too, Pablo used to come and visit.
Meeting up with Junior Delgado, we became bredren, and Augustus Pablo was his bredrin. We started to live together, me, Delgado and White Mice, and tour together, like a band. Under the name Rockers International band, which Pablo had already established.
We, as young yutes, were very happy to meet the masters, the legends, who taught us the business. Like how to produce music, sell our records, and protect our publishing, and our rights.

The new single from Bob Riddim & Addis Pablo, is out April 20th.
Grammy Nominated producer Bob Riddim has teamed up with melodica player and reggae royalty Addis Pablo for soaring new single Musical High. Featuring propulsive contemporary dub production and the unmistakable voice of Jamaican roots reggae singer Chezidek – the song is an ode to the healing power of music.
Addis Pablo is the son of the pioneering Jamaican producer, keyboardist, and populariser of the melodica, Augustus Pablo. Addis has been actively releasing music since February 2013, with his debut album titled “In My Fathers House.” Addis and Bob Riddim met during the making of Destiny, one of the final albums by another legend, Lee Scratch Perry.
The decision to collaborate with Addis represents the next chapter in Bob Riddim’s projects connecting the generations of reggae music, and bringing veteran and contemporary Jamaican talent to new audiences.The concept continues with Musical High, sung by the poignant and delicate tones of well-established and deeply spiritual Rastafarian artist Chezidek.
Famed for his herbal anthems in the early 2000s, he was perfectly placed to sing about the mystical, medicinal and mind opening effects of reggae music.Musical High is the first single in a wider collaborative project called Togetherness between Addis Pablo and Bob Riddim. Its accompanying video, shot in the Jamaican countryside and at Addis’ Rockers International Record shop in downtown Kingston, was released on April 1st to a buzz of online acclaim.
