Soon jumping on a bus, ferry, and then train to slowly make my way back to Berlin from the @saariresidence . Over the he past two months, the residency has offered a spectacular insight into the transition from winter to spring in this beautiful part of Finland.
I've been working on a new piece with the working title "Voices of distinction" (video in the image dump)—an attempt at modeling the evolution of acoustic niches with genetic algorithms and phase modulation synthesis.
Thank you so much to my fellow residents from whom I learned so much—you're amazing people: @karusalli , @pavve1 , Heike Fink, Ruth Olshan, Haytham el-Wardany, @bortzun , @francesca.bogama , and @saksohvi
Thank you to everyone at the Saari Residence and @koneensaatio for creating a wonderful space.
Last chance to experience the sound installation Queer Sonic Fingerprint at @sonorities Festival in Belfast. Queer Sonic Fingerprint is a collaboration with @isabelbredenbroeker . Thank you to everyone who came to our talk at the "Improvising Futures" panel yesterday and thank you to @zezesings for chairing and @edwilliamsxyz and Matías Homar & Angela López for their inspiring talks.
Today at 5.30pm I'll be playing a concert for double bass and spectral parrot in the Sonic Lab at @sarc_qub , followed by @sabine_vogel_flute .
Thanks a lot to the Sonorities festival team and all the volunteers for creating a fantastic festival.
Even if you're not in Belfast, my audiovisual work-in-progress "Voices of Distinction" is showing at the open house event of the @saariresidence today, 18.04 between 12 and 3pm, Finnish time.
Thank you to @danskkomponistforening and @kodakultur for supporting my travel expenses.

I'll be spending the next two months at the @saariresidence in Finland, developing new work and learning from the other residents. Gorgeous place and lovely people.
Thank you to the Saari Residency and Kone Foundation for making this possible.

Thank you for everyone who came out to @morphine_records_raum to witness the premiere of Aeolus last Saturday. It means a lot to us!
Big thanks to Rabih @rabih__beaini and the team in Morphine Raum for their very warm and generous support. It is also super sweet to have Ilia @_kndzni for his extra technical support. For me personally, special thanks to Adam @adampultz being an amazing collaborator who is a great critical thinker, perservere maker and a very good friend, that continuously inspires me to be a better human ❤️
This project is made possible with the support of @field.notes.berlin_inm and @ba_xhain , which allows us to kick off this new journey. Onwards!

From yesterday's rehearsals for Aeolus—an inflateable symphony for air and electronics by @viola_yip and myself. It's happening tonight at 20:00 (doors 19:30) at @morphine_records_raum .
Here we're testing "The Matrix"—an assemblage of garden irrigation components, tubes, and solenoid valves fed by an air compressor.
Note to self to tuck t-shirt next time I pose.
Thank you to @field.notes.berlin_inm and @ba_xhain for the support and @rabih__beaini and Morphine Raum for hosting us.
Tomorrow! Come join us in Morphine Raum! 🎈
