I’ve been a Litter Ambassador for many years and unfortunately the litter problem keeps getting worse with the biggest culprits being plastic food packaging. I cannot understand the mentality of people who throw waste out of their car windows or just drop their drink cans on the floor when we have free waste collection from home and litter bins everywhere! It’s time the Government prioritised the deposit return scheme to incentivise proper disposal of everyday waste. This, just this, a tiny blue Lego flipper. Despite the many beach cleans I’ve done over the years, I’ve never found Lego gold from the container washed overboard from the Tokio Express in 1997 - until today!!! I found it on Pentewan beach during a beach clean. So tiny and easy to miss but in the beachcombing world highly sought after.
