just 🤌 scenes for a hen party this weekend. @grumpygardener1956 has the most beautiful setting that I was lucky enough to cook in.
Pizzas & salad (and aperols) were the brief so I got the last of the lettuce from the garden and dug up some new potatoes for a salad with gherkins, dill, caraway and shallots. Finished off with pud of chocolate and miso tart with homemade vanilla ice cream.
Love a hen party.

This was a pretty fab evening pulled together with @mollieratcliffe for a few of our pals.
We served up:
▪️Smoked tomato, anchovy and stracciatella crostini
▪️Saffron, hazelnut & honey roast chicken
▪️Moroccan carrot salad
▪️Tabbouleh
▪️Fresh garden salad
Ingredients were locally sourced from brilliant suppliers and gardens near by.
As we take a break from weddings for the winter here at @longacrebarn , I am looking to offer private dining experiences either in the home or here at the barn.

A wonderful group of guests, fab menu, and sun in the lakes?? So relaxed and focused on nourishment and restoration. Would highly recommend keeping an eye out on future events that Lydia & Freya run!

A wonderful wedding for Abbie & Adam - the best couple who gave me complete freedom with the menu. We came up with the perfect mix of classics and slightly jazzier stuff. They also brought in their fav custard tarts for pudding from @pontbakery which were pure heaven.
Roped in my @ballymaloecookeryschool bestie for this one so s/o to @cartercookery - kitchen royalty. Also queen @mollieratcliffe and the rest of the hoots that helped make this a very fun weekend.

No time for fancy plating for this one, just some good, staple, nourishing grub for 100 hungry adults and kids on a choristers camp.
4 days of lunch and dinner so safe to say we mastered the art of speed service, ice cream scooping mash and shouting for who wants seconds. The kids were hilarious and lovely so we thoroughly had a giggle.
