We sourced a gorgeous draped piece by pre-eminent African artist #ElAnatsui. More photos from behind the scenes from our install of this silver-scaled #Anatsui sculpture. The artist repurposes discarded tins from alcohol bottles โ a by-product of colonialism. The trash is truly transformed into treasure, morphing into a textile-like tapestry. Have you ever entered a space and immediately felt inspired? We do, when admiring our newest solo limited skateboard art edition โFruits, Vegetables, Melonsโ, which is inspired by American artist Wayne Thiebaudโs fantastic art.
The art edition was created in partnership with @theskateroom and @acquavellagalleries for our current exhibition โWayne Thiebaudโ at Fondation Beyeler.
It gives every home a fun splash of colour and personality. Moreover, we love that it sparks the same sense of balanced nostalgia and freshness that Wayne Thiebaud is best known for.
And the best part?
By purchasing this art edition, you create change: 10% of all revenue goes towards the incredible EduSkate program, a skateboarding and education curriculum by @concretejunglefoundation , which empowers at-risk youth around the world.
