From @chefandrewclarke the good folks behind @acmefirecult , @acmetaco brings the same open-fire energy to a humble taco stand in Blackhorse Road. These aren't your average tacos, though - Clarke has supersized them, and stacked them on double tacos just to support the sheer weight of the filling.
Most will head straight for the beefy suadero of confit ox cheek, beef sausage, heart, tongue and smoky bone marrow, and it's a seriously good time (prepare to get messy trying to eat it in a few bites. We reckon the best of the lot is actually the chopped pork belly with crackling and gooseberry poblano ketchup - simple, smoky and delicious. And of course, there are lots of fantastic @40ftbrewery beers to wash it all down with.

Acme Fire Cult (one of all time favourite restaurants) are now serving up tacos at 40 ft on the beer mile.
We popped down for a delicious non alcoholic pint and to give it a try. At the moment there’s three taco options made with the freshest high-quality ingredients, plus a beanie cheese quesadilla for the kids (or big kids). You order at the cutest little taco hut, and can customise your tacos with a variety of salsas and hot sauces.

We started with the Castacan - chopped pork belly, crackling and gooseberry poblano ketchup (why isn’t gooseberry used in more things it’s so good!) - the pork was so incredibly tender and insanely flavourful and the tacos are so full they’re double-shelled!
Next we tried the beef - these will surely be their signature dish - confit ox cheek, beef sausage, heart and tongue all cooked down in beef fat and served up with salsa roja. You can really taste the time, care and attention that has gone into this dish - they’ve clearly taken no short cuts and it’s so rare to come across depth of flavour like this.
Finally, we tried the symplicity chorizo, I genuinely had no idea it was vegan until I’d completely finished my taco. The chorizo tastes so meaty and has that perfect crispy and crumbly texture, and the vegan straciatella puts the terrible vegan cheeses of yesteryear to shame! The contrast is absolutely delicious, I would highly recommend this to vegans and meat eaters alike.
We also had to try the beanie cheese quesadilla, a perfect kids option but honestly also delicious for a less adventurous grown-up! Imagine beans on toast’s more exciting older brother, gooey cheese, saucy beans, and a fresh mild salsa on the side.
