Do what you want. This past weekend I competed in the Canadian Masters Indoor Track & Field Championships. It’s like track & field at the Olympics but everyone is just older. I was in the 50 metre sprint. I finished dead last in my age category. Like, not even freaking close… and it was the most fun I’ve had in a while. I felt alive. “Failure” needs some reframing. I finished last and feel amazing. Just try stuff. Do stuff. Literally nobody cares if it doesn’t go well. Just let ‘er rip. My sister lives in Toronto so her awesome family came. They were so supportive and my nieces being there made it even more fun and definitely more hilarious. I’m going until the wheels fall off. Completely torn rotator cuff, perennially pulled groin, hips like my 14.5 year old dog… oh well. Go to the 9th pic - that’s Atter Singh Sekhon. He’s turning 103 and he’s the only one in his age group. I watched him do the 50m and then he did the 200m. Absolute legend. Shoutout to Clemis who was a great support and still crushing it.
