#GraceChow first fell in love with film the way many Aussie kids do — through the Saturday night movie. The rom-coms were a highlight of the week while growing up in the #WA Wheatbelt town of Bruce Rock, with Chow mimicking her favourite lines in the mirror. Now, post-WAAPA, with accolades, theatre performances and roles on popular television series to her name - including appearing in Good Cop/Bad Cop alongside ex-Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester - the writer and actor is becoming a character that other little girls can be inspired by. While home in #Perth this week, she spoke to Jade Jurewicz about the new #ABC six-part series Dog Park - shot in #Melbourne and starring comedian #CeliaPacquola and #LeonFord - and the unlikely but meaningful connections people find there.

Before the year closes, I wanted to acknowledge the writing. These are the near final drafts of my first feature film (thanks @42__mp for believing in me) and my one woman show with black swan state theatre company, which I just performed at @sydneytheatreco x @creative.australia ‘s ‘Creative Futures Symposium.’ Sharing the play with the country’s artistic directors, EPs and lit directors and to have had the feedback it did was just so affirming - thanks to the literary directors of Australia for backing this new work to see it shared.
