I shared some thoughts with The Ransom Note about the concept behind Absolutely Massive, shedding light on the bigger picture behind events and my experience going out when I was younger. I feel it’s an ongoing conversation within the music and events industry at the moment, where huge oversaturated lineups in massive spaces are becoming the norm and pushing out grassroots venues. Through going to dingy wee clubs multiple times a week in my teens and early 20s, I met some of my closest friends and discovered incredible music at the same time. I feel that is becoming lost with rising ticket prices and the need to have every single DJ in the circuit on the one lineup. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for forming these connections early on in life. I’m hoping this can be the start of an Absolutely Massive movement. AM#1 @the.bath.house.hw 07/06, 4-10pm
