From Glastonbury to Goa, Jay has been tearing up dance floors across the globe, serving up heavy doses of breaks and bass to dancers far and wide. We’re expecting nothing short of pure hi-energy for this one, so get your best dancing shoes on and glowsticks at the ready - it’s not one to miss. NYC legend and long time friend, Kush Jones will be joining us for an action packed performance full of technical wizardry. Kush has been at the forefront of footwork, club and techno for the better part of 10 years and he’s not slowing down. We will be joined by @stugrayvy who will be taking over the art direction for this one so get down early to see it in all its glory! Absolutely Massive focuses on the experience and atmosphere surrounding a night out where it is less about the person behind the decks and more about the curation of the performance. Artists will be playing behind a curtain to encourage them to play what they want, when they want without the pressure of an onlooking audience. I shared some thoughts with The Ransom Note about the concept behind Absolutely Massive, shedding light on the bigger picture behind events and my experience going out when I was younger. I feel it’s an ongoing conversation within the music and events industry at the moment, where huge oversaturated lineups in massive spaces are becoming the norm and pushing out grassroots venues. Through going to dingy wee clubs multiple times a week in my teens and early 20s, I met some of my closest friends and discovered incredible music at the same time. I feel that is becoming lost with rising ticket prices and the need to have every single DJ in the circuit on the one lineup. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for forming these connections early on in life. I’m hoping this can be the start of an Absolutely Massive movement. AM#1 @the.bath.house.hw 07/06, 4-10pm
