We built a new bar for our camp at Burning Man and decided to decorate it with an elaborate 30ft fabric collage mural of a panoramic Joshua Tree landscape! From conception to completion it took 5 long days and several helping hands and the results are stunning! 🌄
All the fabric panels were laser cut and then we had to figure out where they all went like a giant puzzle. At first, our big brain idea was to laser cut the fabric backed with Stitch Witchery which could then simply be ironed onto the mural. Nothing is ever as simple as it seems and it ended up being faster to just glue them by hand.

Instead of bringing my art to @burningman last year, I helped out two other artists build their projects. Myself, along with @abraca.lab had the pleasure of fabricating A Seat at the Throne by @chelseaodufu . The design process was challenging, but we worked well as a team and the result came out spectacularly. It was a great collaboration bringing Chelsea’s vision into reality. @transrealstudio and @leifheit did a great job on executing the fabrication while I managed the general project.
