We built a new bar for our camp at Burning Man and decided to decorate it with an elaborate 30ft fabric collage mural of a panoramic Joshua Tree landscape! From conception to completion it took 5 long days and several helping hands and the results are stunning! 🌄
All the fabric panels were laser cut and then we had to figure out where they all went like a giant puzzle. At first, our big brain idea was to laser cut the fabric backed with Stitch Witchery which could then simply be ironed onto the mural. Nothing is ever as simple as it seems and it ended up being faster to just glue them by hand.

Hey there, space cowboy. You’ve traveled through coiled wormholes and snaked your way deep into the uncharted abyss to find paradoxical geometries and hyperdimensional hopscotch. Circles and triangles handshake while chaos and order slyly make out. This is a birthday present for my friend and business partner @leifheit who is sympathetic to triangles and lasers. The Penrose triangle is my favorite triangle, featured here pierced by a laser of impossible color. Here’s to another 40, pard.
