i have loved this trend and seeing all the iterations — from comedy, mom life, kid sports, fashion, small business, self deprecating humor…all of it has been fun!!
my favorite, of course, was being inspired by @conejovalleyspotlight ’s rendition of some of the amazing places we have in the conejo valley.
there’s not enough room. i need more space. could make endless number of these because i’m so obsessed with our community and the incidence small business that make it what it is! how lucky are we!??

an absolute gamechanger for endless weekends of sports activities!!! bought for a trip and didn’t know how much i would use them. 🤓
i’m able to be handsfree and fully present but still capturing here and there. plus can listen to music when i don’t want to listen to the parent yelling really dumb stuff to their kid like we are in the nba finals. that could be the main benefit.

had a little date morning with myself then added my partner in crime. do you do solo stuff? i have been go go go and just needed some time for me. to take a breath before running into the weekend.
but what i didn’t anticipate in my few hours were the small businesses showing up and making every touch point of my morning special. the details — i see them and love them. and i thank all of you so much!! 🫶🏻

motherhood is not a title. it’s a journey — one that asks you to grow, soften, break open, and rebuild more times than you can count.
and if you’re an empath like me, you feel every season of it deeply. the joy. the exhaustion. the becoming. and the constant tug of the heart and how fast it’s all going with daily timehop reminders. any one else do nightime photo dives?
mother’s day is here, and let’s be honest — it’s not really a holiday. too many epic memes and reels on this! why do dad’s get summer break!? we’ve still got basketball tournaments this weekends, soccer games and monday is coming in hot with reality. and lunches. dang lunches. motherhood doesn’t pause for a sunday brunch, though i do love an excuse to be leisurely one paired with a spritz! it lives in the in-between — in the checklists, the reviewing of 16278 apps, the quiet moments unseen. the thankless.
i’ve been sitting with what it actually means for me. to hold space, if you will, for this beautiful, wild, exhausting gift.
and mother’s day carries so much more than flowers and cards. it carries grief for the children and mothers no longer here. it carries ache for the mothers still alive but not in our lives. it carries longing for the women waiting, hoping, trying to become mothers. it carries complicated, healing and evolving love. empath em is feeling the feels.
it carries all of it.
so if this holiday week feels magical, heavy, tender, joyful, bittersweet, or all of it at once — you’re not alone. however motherhood is showing up for you in this season, you are seen and you’re doing a great job!!!!
some reflections for the days i need a reminder of what this journey really asks of me — and more importantly, what it gives back. cheers to you of course this weekend, but really every day you show up for your humans. 🖤
