One of the largest sources of my inspiration and motivation behind this brand has always been my little sister, Pey.
Her opinion mattered most and everything I did was to impress her. She was my main taste tester, my model, my artist, my creative director in ways she probably didn’t even realize, and the one who believed in this dream before it ever fully existed. So much of what this brand is came from her love, her honesty, her creativity, and her constant encouragement.
She witnessed all of my business transitions, mistakes, successes, ideas and sat with me every step of the way. She spent so much time brainstorming new drink ideas for me, hand writing my menu’s, and being my full time cheerleader/helper.
As such a small growing brand, i am so deeply moved by the love and support of this community and felt inclined to share this as i’ve met so many and become close to so many of you.
thank you for your patience and grace as i step away from daily operations and find my footing in this next chapter ❤️🩹
This is a temporary pause stay, tuned for pop-ups, workshops, and private events ahead.
Pey’s spirit will always live on in everything i create 👼🏼🤍
It is with deep sadness and immense everlasting love that I write this post. My name is Heather Trilling, founder of Lumber and Linen and our family lost our dear sweet Peyton.
Peyton was the youngest of our four daughters she was 17. She passed away, Dec 28, 2025 after a courageous fight with Ewings Sarcoma.
Peyton’s ideas, passions, inspiration, and art has been woven through Lumber and Linen since its beginnings. She has been an anchor in everything we have dreamed up and we will continue to share her with all of you. She had a compassion for all living things and our earth. She loved nature, gardens, sunsets, animals and she drew upon her passion for living with respect and empathy in every single day. She always said she wanted to change the world. She sure has done that and will continue to do that as her values , teachings and example live on through our store but more importantly through every heart she has touched during her journey.
I as her mom, will be sharing more about Peyton and all the gifts she’s left here through her art and through the love she has bestowed on us. Her sisters also are woven into our business and you will see them shine and share here at Lumber and Linen. We are first here to serve you all with our sustainable and humanitarian products.. We believe that connection to ourselves, others and the outdoors can change you for the better. We will always offer the absolute highest quality nature inspired products and brands. We also will continue to host workshops, classes and experiences. that center, ground, and inspire you to live in beauty, peace and connection.
We are all about finding meaning, respect and love for all; as we walk together in this thing called life. Complex, hard, beautiful, and everything in between. Come visit us we want to know you and want you to know us.
