@SceneNoise #Ferkesh: In this episode of our ‘Ferkesh’ series, we sit down with Abanoub Ramsis, the Egyptian director behind Saint Levant and Fares Sokkar’s latest music video for ‘Do You Love Me?/ سنيورة’. He unpacks his artistic vision behind the video and how it all came together with no creative reference whatsoever. He also reflects on the energy during shooting, and how it was just as depicted in the final visuals, real, genuine and spontaneous, recalling how the video’s outro was an unscripted moment that came in the spur of the moment, and highlighting his intention behind specific cuts in the video that were employed to evoke a feel-good vibe for the audience.
The ‘Do You Love Me?’ music video is a playful yet cinematic extension of the track, following a double-date kind of situation, starring Levant with his muse Naika, and Fares Sokkar with his significant other on their adventures, from cruising on a hot pink motorcycle, and dancing through neon-lit amusement parks to sharing sun-soaked carefree moments.
‘Ferkesh’ is a SceneNoise interview series highlighting exceptional directors in the MENA music industry, shedding the spotlight on the creative minds behind the iconic visuals that captivated millions of fans.
